Did you know that colorectal cancer is the 2nd most common cancer diagnosed in New York, with a rapid increase in people ages 20-49 newly diagnosed?
This is why we have joined the NYOH Community Cancer Foundation's Colorectal Check Challenge. Our goal is to spread awareness about the importance of screening and to celebrate survivorship. After losing our dear friend, Diane Zazzaro, to colon cancer in 2023 and watching many others fight this disease, we are honored to partner with NYOH to raise funds for those currently undergoing treatment. All funds raised remain local, helping patients pay for essential needs such as groceries, transportation, and rent.
Looking for other ways to support? There's a closing celebration on Sunday, March 29th at Carson's Woodside Tavern in Malta, open to all. Come and join us and others involved in the Colorectal Check Challenge with some good food, music, and raffle prizes to close out the month. Tickets are on sale now for $30/presale.
